Premier Consulting for the Outdoor Hospitality Industry

The consultants of Ron D. Beard & Associates have experienced over thirty years of success in the Waterpark and Adaptive Re-Use & Restoration sectors of the Outdoor Hospitality Industry.

Waterparks

Ron D. Beard was hired in 1997 as the project architect and construction manager for the $20 million Schlitterbahn South Padre Island project on the Gulf of Mexico in southern Texas. Ron worked in the offices of NGBS, Intl. in New Braunfels for months until the project was indefinitely postponed due to wetlands permit delays and neighborhood opposition to the site selected for the park. However, this apprenticeship in the offices of one of the world's premier waterpark product manufacturers and innovators, along with the taste of providing site design and building architecture assistance on several NBGS park product proposals around the world, RDBA - Austin began to actively market its waterpark layout and budgeting services around the world. A member of the World Waterpark Association (WWA) and International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), RDBA - Austin advertisement appeared regularly in Splash magazine and its specialty issues. RDBA - Austin offers its clients the ability to pull all the aspects of a waterpark together as a unified, comprehensive design with a realistic, workable budget. Attraction-specific layout, pricing, realistic building definition, utility & parking infrastructure requirements and budgeting services are available from the professionals at RDBA - Austin.

Adaptive Re-Use & Restoration

Since 1974, RDBA - Austin has been providing architectural and interior design services for historically significant structures. Ron D. Beard jumped into this special area of work with both feet, serving as a founding member and first president of the Lubbock Heritage Society, closely followed by serving on the Historical Review Commission. Whether saving a historical home from demolition, winning an AIA design award for the adaptive re-use of a 1918 ice house or working with a neighborhood association in a National Register District as the architect of a new office building which relates to the scale, character and rhythm of the street, RDBA - Austin brings innovative and sensitive design solutions to life while maintaining the integrity of the neighborhood or structure as well as the client's design program.
